DEARBORN, Michigan – The 9th Annual Dearborn Women’s Expo at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn coming on Sunday, March 4th, 2012 has a special meaning for the Dearborn women who created the event.
The Expo raises funds for Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan and is dedicated to the memory of Brittany Crawford who was a student at Dearborn High when she lost her battle with leukemia in December 2002. The event creators, Janeen and Julie Sullivan, are sisters-in-laws and the mother and aunt of Brittany, who together organize an event that attracts 100+ exhibitors and over 2,500 attendees.
Attendees can come out for some fun and retail therapy and help a great cause! The Expo raises funds to help others who are battling leukemia and to give back to an organization that supported Brittany and their family through the tough times, when they needed it the most.
With 100+ unique exhibits ranging from health and beauty to home improvement, accessories and meal preparation, silent auction items, raffles, Fashion Shows, ZUMBA fitness sessions for all levels, duck pond full of great prizes, and a wedding and prom fashion show by One Stop Wedding Shop, the event promises something for every age and interest. Admission is $3 and children under age 12 are admitted free.
The organization is seeking silent auction items and sponsors. Exhibitor space is still available.
