Dearborn Heights, MI – In 2012, St. Sebastian Catholic School will host An Evening in New Orleans, Strolling Silent and Live Auction Event on February 18, 2012 . Celebrating its 10th year, the event has been opened to local restaurants, bakeries and markets for an opportunity to feature their products and services at “Bistros on Bourbon Street.” In addition to the Bistros, a variety of auction category sponsorships are available as well as advertising opportunities in the official event program.

Not your ordinary school fundraiser – Sister Geraldine Kaczynski, FSSJ, the Principal of St. Sebastian Catholic School and past recipient of Today’s Catholic Teacher “National Principal of the Year” award, has charged the Parent Teacher Guild (PTG) with creating something special. “We recognize and appreciate the demands on businesses to support the many local schools, charities and groups asking for financial and in-kind donations each year,” she says. “An Evening in New Orleans, featuring “Bistros on Bourbon Street” is a win-win. We are blessed with a very successful and popular auction thanks to the efforts of our past committees. In this tenth year, we are excited because we have created something new to add to our foundation and it is an opportunity for our community as well as for our school.”
Participating businesses will be cross-marketed through a mix of social media/e-mail campaigns, press releases, web links, church bulletin inserts and announcements. There are also limited opportunities for display table presence at the remaining 2011 and upcoming 2012 PTG meetings.
