DEARBORN, Michigan – The Rotary Club of Dearborn invites high school seniors at private and public high schools in Dearborn to apply online for the Hugh Archer Memorial Scholarship, named in memory of the longtime Rotarian and Dearborn resident.
“Thanks to the generosity of Rotarians, the local community and Spiratex, the company that Hugh founded, we’ve been able to increase the scholarship amount each year,” said Dearborn Rotarian Lee Hollmann, who chairs the Archer scholarship committee.
The 2012 scholarship recipient will receive an award of $4,000. Applications are available online at www.DearbornRotary.org/scholarships. Students who apply must demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, community service, and ethical standards as defined by the Rotary 4-Way Test.
The deadline to apply for the Archer scholarship is December 31, 2011. The award will be announced and presented in February 2012 during the Club’s annual Youth Month.
