DEARBORN, Mich. – Artists from the Bellini Opera Theatre will present ‘A Tribute to Jeanette McDonald and Nelson Eddy‘ in the Henry Ford Centennial Library Auditorium at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 16.
The event is free and sponsored by the Friends of the Library-Dearborn (FOLD).
The one-hour presentation will include performances by soprano Kim Swan and baritone Dino Valle, accompanied by pianist Jacqueline Csurgai-Schmitt.
Bellini Opera was founded by opera enthusiast Roslino Lo Duca, a native of Cinisi in the province of Palermo, out of his deep love for the Sicilian customs and language and his passion for music of Vincenzo Bellini.
Co-founder Dino Valle hopes to foster the enjoyment of operatic music for today’s audience through a series of concerts, recitals, lectures and other out-reach programs in Michigan and Florida.
In addition to the June concert, the Theatre will present A Tribute to Katheryn Grayson and Mario Lanza at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 21.
The Henry Ford Centennial Library is at 16301 Michigan Ave. in Dearborn. For more information, call 313.943.2330.
