DEARBORN, MI. – The City of Dearborn’s Corporate Counsel, Debra Walling, was selected by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as one of its “Leaders in the Law” for 2016. The “Leaders in the Law” are selected by a committee based on outstanding professional accomplishments or achievements in law practice, mentoring/community involvement, and leadership. The 2016 Leaders are 30 attorneys who are advancing the law, improving the legal profession and expanding access to justice in their communities.
“It is a tremendous honor and one that I share with the extraordinary attorneys and support staff in our Legal Department,” said Walling.
Michigan Lawyers Weekly honored the 30 selected Leaders in the Law, Class of 2016, at a celebration luncheon on March 17 at the Detroit Marriott Troy. The honorees were profiled in a special publication of Michigan Lawyers Weekly.
Mayor John B. O’Reilly, Jr. praised Walling.
