DEARBORN, Michigan — Through essays, photos, poetry, and art, A Detroit Anthology brings forth voices from a city rich with stories. On September 28, these stories will be brought to life in an uncommonly vibrant reading and photography viewing in Dearborn.
The Detroit Chapter of the Women’s National Book Association and the Henry Ford Centennial Library host an extraordinary line-up of contributors to the Detroit Anthology on Sunday, September 28, 2pm-4pm, in the Centennial Library auditorium (16301 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn, MI).

Photographers Patricia Lay-Dorsey and Aaron Waterman will screen unforgettable photographs while discussing the possibilities and perils of capturing Detroit in images. Aaron Foley will read ‘We Love Detroit, Even If You Don’t,’ and Jamaal May will perform his award-winning Detroit poetry. In text and images, James D. Griffioen of the Sweet Juniper blog will discuss Greenfield Village and the stories we tell ourselves about where we come from. Editor Anna Clark will talk about the craft of putting together a book that gets beyond both boosterism and ruin-porn.
