Dearborn, Michigan — On the afternoon of Friday December 6, 2013 Dearborn Police responded to the Bank of America located on Michigan Avenue at Hartwell on report of a bank robbery. The perpetrator presented a note to a teller demanding money and threatening harm.
The subject escaped with an undetermined amount of cash before police arrived.
On Monday December 9, 2013 Dearborn Police arrested the alleged perpetrator, Detroit resident Lamar Tremane Dunn. The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office approved a complaint against Dunn for Bank Robbery, a felony with a penalty of up to life in prison. Dunn was to be arraigned Tuesday at 1:30 pm before the Honorable Judge William Hultgren.
Chief Haddad stated he would like “to commend Sgt. Derrick Hadder for his attention to detail that resulted in the swift identification of the Dunn who was located and arrested yesterday afternoon. Sgt. Hadder conducted a records and booking photo search and found that DUNN’s previous booking photo showed a distinct resemblance to the suspect who committed this robbery. Dunn was previously arrested and convicted for bank robbery in August 2009 and was paroled in September of 2013.”
