DEARBORN, Michigan โ The City of Dearborn has been assisting residents with disposal of household materials damaged by the Aug. 11 flood with free pick up of bulk items set at the curb. That free pickup service will end on Friday, Oct. 3.
Residents who still have flood-damaged material after Oct. 3 are asked to call the Residential Services Department at 313-943-2433 to schedule a bulk pickup. Fees will apply; the minimum cost is $55.
City crews will evaluate the bulk material and give property owners an estimate of the cost before removing the items from the curb.
Alternatively, residents who can transport their flood-damaged items to the DPW Yard, 2951 Greenfield, on Saturday, Oct. 18 can still dispose of it for free. The DPW Yard is open the third Saturday of every month for free bulk disposal. Hours are 8 a.m. โ 1 p.m.
Residents must be able to lift and carry their own items at the DPW Yard.
For more information, please call 313-943-2433.
