DEARBORN, MI – Metro Detroit area residents will have the opportunity to seek out unique clues, and discover the treasures of Downtown West Dearborn at the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce’s newest community event, Community Challenge 5K Scavenger Race, which will be held on Sunday, October 19 at 2:00 pm in Downtown West Dearborn. This creative and fun event, presented by American Laser Skincare, will include a costume contest, a scavenger hunt on a 5K route, family and team fun, an after party with music, cash prizes, and much more!
“We are very excited to have the opportunity to host this wonderful, community event designed to promote our member businesses in Downtown West Dearborn,” commented Jackie Lovejoy, President of the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce. “The Community Challenge 5K Scavenger Race is a wonderful opportunity to bring your family, friends or coworkers out for a fun and challenging afternoon, all while promoting physical, outdoor activity!”
Participants will receive clue sheets to aid them on their journey as well as a race bib, sponsored by 1st Choice Urgent Care in Dearborn. A costume contest will add to the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce festivities, and all attendees are encouraged to dress alike in a team theme or individually for this festive occasion!
After completing the afternoon’s challenges, participants will enjoy an after party to include entertainment, cash prizes for the winning teams and best costume, and much more in Downtown West Dearborn! Entertainment is sponsored by Right At Home in home care of Dearborn/Downriver.
