DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Michigan – If you are seeking a summer camp experience for children that is nurturing, creative, intellectually stimulating and lots of fun, Dearborn Heights Montessori Center and its satellites, Plymouth-Canton Montessori School and Livonia Montessori School, are offering themed summer camp programs at each location.
The summer camp programs at Plymouth-Canton Montessori and Livonia Montessori schools are both designed for children ages 3 through 6, while the Dearborn Heights Montessori program is available for multi-age groups from toddlers, ages 18 months to three years, through upper elementary grades, ages 9 to 12.
All of the summer camps are led by highly qualified, Montessori-certified teachers. Each week campers explore a different theme with related art projects and physical activities.
Programs include weekly in-house presenters for all age groups. There are also weekly field trips for students in the lower and upper elementary grades at Dearborn HeightsMontessori Center.
“This is the first year we’ve offered a summer camp in Livonia,” said Patty Porta, administrator at Livonia MontessoriSchool. “With our recent move to a beautiful new location on Seven Mile Road, we are able to expand our program to families who live and work in this area.”
All of the schools are now accepting applications for summer camp programs with half-day and full-day options available for families at each location. Early enrollment is recommended to ensure availability. Camps run from Monday through Friday with hours available before and after camp for families needing extra hours. The buildings open at 7 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.
