DEARBORN, Michigan – If you enjoy the music and sounds of the Beach Boys, you won’t want to miss the March 2 performance of the tribute group, “Papa Doo Run Run,” at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn. The concert begins at 8:00 pm Saturday night.
Papa Doo Run Run, formed in 1965, toured with legendary surf music legends Jan and Dean in the late 1970s before really hitting their stride by recreating the classic sound of the Beach Boys.
During the next three decades, the group has toured nearly continuously, earned a pair of gold records and a Grammy nomination and endeared themselves to fans far and wide with their high-energy, interactive concerts.
