DEARBORN, Michigan – The Dearborn Public Schools Education Foundation (DPSEF) is being recognized by the Dearborn Community Arts Council as the Arts Organization of the year for their continuing efforts to support the Arts through education.
Dearborn Public Schools Education Foundation, along with 5 other honorees, will be officially recognized by Mayor O’Reilly and the public at the annual Mayor’s Arts Awards Ceremony. This prestigious event will be held on Wednesday, February 13th at 7:30 pm in the Michael Guido Theatre in the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center.
Other honorees for the Art Awards include Linda Lukens, Artist / Performer Award; Catherine Prowse, Arts Educator Award; Mary Beth Oravec, Volunteer Award; Bob Varty, DCAC Bravo Award; Vanguard Voices, Arts OrganizationAward; Dearborn Education Foundation, Arts Patron Award; and the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority (EDDDA), Mayor’s Award Honoree.
They’ll all be honored at the 2013 Mayor’s Arts Awards, recognizing the outstanding achievements of Artists and the ArtsCommunity for 2012, on February 13th at 7:30 pm at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in the Michael Guido Theatre. Admission is free to the public.
The evening will be highlighted by performances from the Edsel Ford High School Choir, the Maples Music Ensemble and Drum Line and operatic soprano Brittania Tallori. Guests will also have an opportunity to the meet and congratulate the artists and honorees at the reception held immediately following the ceremony.
