DEARBORN, Michigan – January 10th, 2013 at approximately 6:05 pm a 33 year old male Dearborn pedestrian, who walked into the roadway on Miller Road, south of Alber St., was struck by a car driven by a 21 year old Ypsilanti woman who was driving a red Ford Windstar. The man was later pronounced dead at Oakwood Hospital. While an investigation is continuing, it appears at this time that the collision was accidental and neither drugs nor alcohol were involved.
Chief Haddad said this incident is a terrible tragedy and that the Police Department expresses its deepest sympathies to all of those involved. Chief Hadded also reminded all area drivers to be cautious and expect the unexpected.
