DEARBORN, Michigan – Fire and water clean up company, Servpro of Dearborn, has donated 50 pounds of butter to the Dearborn Firefighter’s Burn Drive Corn Roast at the city’s Homecoming this weekend. This is the third consecutive year Servpro of Dearborn has made this donation.
Each year the Fire Department gives away buttered corn as a fundraiser for their charity that helps children impacted by fires.
A common goal of The Burn Drive and Servpro of Dearborn is to restore normalcy to families after tragedy. Servpro owner Maureen Winfree says, “As a locally owned company, it’s important to support local organizations like the Burn Drive. Due to the nature of our work, we typically see people while they’re in crisis; donating to and volunteering with the Burn Drive gives us a chance to connect with our community in a fun and light-hearted way.”
Burn Drive Trustee Jeff Powell, speaks to the importance of donations and volunteerism, “The community’s involvement and generosity are key elements in fulfilling the mission of the Burn Drive. We greatly appreciate everyone’s continued support.”
Joining Servpro of Dearborn in donating to the Burn Drive’s Corn Roast are The Dearborn Farmer’s Market, area McDonalds restaurants and Les Stanford Chevrolet.
