DEARBORN, Michigan – The YWCA of Western Wayne County is proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Women of Achievement Awards Luncheon on Friday, December 2nd at the Henry Hotel (formerly the Ritz Carlton) in Dearborn.
The luncheon will recognize women who have outstanding leadership and contribution in their communities. The Woman of the Year Award will be presented along with eight other awards recognizing outstanding honorees in the areas of Communication or The Arts, Business Leadership/Entrepreneurship, Government and Law, Leadership in Education, Dedicated Volunteer, Young Woman/Professional, Senior Woman, and Health/Wellness.
If you would like to nominate a woman in your community for any of the Women of Achievement Awards or if you would like to buy tickets to the luncheon, tickets are $50, nominations and ticket purchases can be made by visiting the YWCA Western Wayne County website .
Attendees can anticipate an address from keynote speaker: Federal Prosecuter, Barbara McQuade. McQuade was appointed by president Barack Obama in 2010 as the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan.
During the luncheon attendees can also look forward to a silent auction and shopping with exhibitors show casing their products and services in the Holiday Boutique. The boutique will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Booth spaces are available for $100 and include a ticket to the luncheon.
