DEARBORN, Michigan – On Thursday, August 25th from 4pm-9pm, Pat and Dan Kiernan, of Kiernan’s Steak House, are hosting an evening of summer fun to help animals in the care of the Dearborn Animal Shelter. Taking place on the patio of Silky’s Martini & Music Cafe, located at 21931 Michigan Avenue in Dearborn (adjacent to Kiernan’s Steak House). All are welcome, including Harley enthusiasts and animal lovers alike.
If you have a “hog”, ride it to the event. If you have a dog, bring it to the event. Or just bring a photo of either. For music lovers, DJ Steve Miller will be mixing it live, with acoustic stylings provided by Dog Bone (George Nigosian and friends). You can also try your luck at 50/50 raffles, bid on terrific items donated by local merchants during the tin-can raffle, win some super door prizes, and get your last chance ticket for the Tiger Suite Raffle.
Biker Bob’s Harley-Davidson dealership of Taylor is bringing a Harley simulator, where you can experience the thrill of the wind blowing in your hair without leaving the parking lot. Hogs 4 Dogs promises to be a great evening of summer fun for you and your pooch.
Tickets are $20, and include grilled burgers and hot dogs (veggie versions, too), corn, beverages, and all-you-can-drink draft beer. For kids under 18, price is an alcohol-free $10. Kiernan’s is also opening their patio to pooches. Your pup gets in free! Purchase tickets in advance at Kiernan’s Steak House or Silky’s, or by calling (313) 565-4260. They are also available at the Dearborn Animal Shelter, located at 2661 Greenfield Rd, by calling the shelter at (313) 943-2697 or online at www.DearbornAnimals.org.
