DEARBORN, Michigan – The Henry Ford OptimEyes Super Vision Center in the Henry Ford Medical Center on Ford Road opened on August 1st.
With its opening, vision services currently offered at Henry Ford Medical Center-Fairlane and on Michigan Avenue will be consolidated in a single location and a number of new services will be added, including an on-site full-service lab for same-day glasses and most prescriptions.
Additionally, pediatric eye care will be offered by Henry Ford Ophthalmology, which is also moving its Dearborn operations to the new location at 5500 Auto Club Drive at the corner of Auto Club Drive and Ford Road.
The Henry Ford OptimEyes Super Vision Center will offer comprehensive optometry and ophthalmology care — complete eye examinations, including diabetic eye exams; evaluation and treatment of eye injuries; advanced medical and surgical treatment for eye conditions, including those affecting the retina, neuro-ophthalmology conditions, cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration; and ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Henry Ford OptimEyes will be open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sundays. Appointments can be made by calling (313) 562-8000.
This is the first of several services that will be transferring to the new Henry Ford Medical Center on Ford Road. Women’s Health, Pediatrics and Physical Therapy will make the move in November. Services being added are Dermatology, After-Hours Urgent Care, pharmacy, laboratory and radiology.
The new Henry Ford Medical Center – Ford Road is approximately 140,000 square feet, with 65,000 of that belonging to Henry Ford; the remaining space is expected to be leased to complementary private practice physicians.
The new location is about one mile from Henry Ford Medical Center-Fairlane.
