DEARBORN, Michigan – The Dearborn Allied War Veterans Council (DAWVC) has organized powerful events for Memorial Day in honor of Vietnam veterans. The main events are on Monday, May 30, along Michigan Avenue in east Dearborn.
A ceremonial funeral procession begins at 9:30 a.m. and the parade follows at 10:30 a.m., with a solemn service at about noon at the War Memorial at City Hall Park.
The committee is headed by DAWVC Commander Craig Tillman (center). Other members are (from left) Phil Smith, Gary Tanner, Greg Price, George Harvey, Lisa Schiffer, Tom Wilson, John Ruselowski and Tom Houle.
