DEARBORN, Mich. – The Dearborn Public Library is seeking public input in selecting a new library card design. When library patrons check out materials anytime throughout the month of April, they are encouraged to choose their favorite from among nine, colorful, library card design candidates.
“The Library’s Circulation Committee narrowed the field down to nine designs,” said Deputy Library Director Julie Schaefer, “but now we need assistance picking the one that will be printed and made available as a choice when registering for a Dearborn Public Library card.”
The winning design will be printed and distributed as the next Dearborn Public Library card, and those who cast a vote will be eligible for a gift card drawing.
All votes must be done in person at any Dearborn Public Library checkout desk. “Voting for the library card design is intended to be a fun way to encourage people to visit the library and check out materials during April, National Library Month,” Schaefer noted.
Additional programs will be held at Henry Ford Centennial Library to celebrate this national event.
Visit your local library or check out the Dearborn Public Library website at www.dearbornpubliclibrary.org for a preview of the library card designs and for more information about library programs. The Library’s Facebook page, Dearborn Public Library, also has a copy of the designs, and posts event reminders regularly.
