DEARBORN, Mich. – The Dearborn Chamber of Commerce offers effective networking, business appreciation and a high profile expo at its Business Recognition Award Luncheon and Expo, April 29, 2011. Presenting sponsor is Ford Land and the event location is The Henry (formerly the Ritz Carlton), Dearborn, from 10:00 am-2:00 pm. This year, the Chamber will honor Kearns Brothers with its new Community Excellence Award, created to highlight the small business that demonstrates excellence in the eyes of their community, customers, and employees.
Marking 25 years in business in the home improvement industry is an achievement attained by less than 10% of all companies in this industry says Dave Harrison of Harrison Consulting–a home improvement consulting and marketing firm. Kearns Brothers, Inc. is a nationally recognized leader in the home improvement industry and has participated in numerous national panels to develop and promote professionalism in the roofing, siding and window industry.
Mike Kearns, owner and founder of Kearns Brothers, Inc. believes the success, longevity and durability of his business was due in part to staying true to the core beliefs of honesty, integrity, value and above all customer service. “We are a customer service driven business, we deliver home improvement services. Without great people and great clients, we would not be successful,” said Mike Kearns.
“Kearns Brothers have established themselves as leaders in the home improvement industry and we are pleased to honor them with this new award, especially during this landmark anniversary year,” says Dearborn Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board Eddie Fakhoury.
The Business Expo and the Business Recognition Luncheon connect and showcase organizations in the Dearborn community. This year two breakout sessions will be offered from 10 – 10:45am by Comcast and DMC Harper Hospital and are free to expo attendees. The luncheon will highlight businesses which are celebrating milestone anniversaries, from 5 years to 180 years. The expo will feature companies promoting their products and services to more than 300 business owners, community leaders and corporate professionals.
The luncheon will also honor Bob Curran of Century 21 Curran & Christie with its Excellence in Leadership Award and the Legacy Award will be given to Oakwood Midwest Medical Center.
The cost to attend the event is $50 for Chamber members and $65 for non-members; $500 for table of 10 with signage. Space is limited. Register online at www.dearbornchamber.org.
The Dearborn Chamber of Commerce provides 500+ members with the opportunities and resources to engage and network with other businesses, enhancing financial growth, professional development, and the ability to contribute to a thriving community environment.
