DEARBORN, Michigan – Dearborn area residents are invited to attend the Dearborn Education Foundation’s Mardi Gras event. The annual Mardi Gras celebration will be held at Dearborn Hills Golf Course on March 8th from 3:30 – 9 pm. Local residents will enjoy a wonderful evening, along with over 200 teachers, district employees, and community leaders.
This event raises money to help fund grant requests made by the teachers of the Dearborn Public School system. Typical teacher requests range from musical instruments, math and science teaching tools, to classroom equipment and desperately needed computer technology upgrades.
“Everyone that supports the Foundation by being a part of events like Mardi Gras will be doing their part towards enriching Dearborn Public Schools students’ education”, said Eddie Fakhoury, Executive Director of the Dearborn Education Foundation.
Advance tickets are available for $20 or you can purchase your ticket at the door for $25. There will be food, a cash bar, entertainment, a silent auction, and 50/50 raffle. The fun starts at 3:30 and goes until 9 pm. If you are interested in being a Mardi Gras sponsor, and/or donating to the silent auction donation — forms for both are available on line at www.dearbornedfoundation.org.
There are various levels of sponsorship opportunities starting at $250 up to $5,000. Local business owners are encouraged to donate items for the the silent auction — a great way to promote your business. Please contact the foundation office for details via email or call 313.827.8790.
