DEARBORN, Mich. – (July 12, 2010) – While consumers may be wary of unnecessary spending during a slow economic recovery, they still want clean windows, according to Adam’s Cleaning Services, Inc. which provides cleaning services to residential homes and businesses throughout Wayne County.
“Window cleaning has become a fast growing part of our business,” said Adam Seccombe, owner of Adam’s Cleaning Services, which has more than a dozen employees.
Many of the company’s residential clients live in the Grosse Ile and Downriver communities with a view of the water.
“It’s not unusual for us to clean the windows of one home and then everyone else on the block will give us a call to clean theirs,” added Seccombe. “If you have a good view, it’s even more desirable to have clean windows.”
Requests for the company’s window cleaning services typically come twice a year–in the fall and spring.
Seccombe acknowledges that his business has been fortunate during Michigan’s tough economy, because he hasn’t been required to lay off any employees. He credits much of his company’s success to well established, long term customer relationships.
“Our residents look forward to Adam and his staff cleaning the windows in our senior living community each spring and fall,” said Lisa Scott, housekeeping supervisor for The Village of Westland. “They’ve been providing services for our residents for more than 10 years—longer than I’ve worked here.”
Scott estimates it takes a couple of days for Adam’s team to clean the windows, both inside and out, for the Village’s offices, common areas, and 220 independent living apartments as well as 20 units in each of two assisted living cottages.
“They’re very dependable, easy to work with and a great bunch of people.” added Scott. “Our seniors especially appreciate the time that Adam personally spends getting to know them.”
