Exceptional Employee Skills: How New Employees Can Become Job-Ready And Help Keep Their Jobs!
DEARBORN – A workshop, entitled, “A1 Exceptional Performance”, focusing on how employees can “put their best foot forward” at the work site will be conducted at The University of Michigan-Dearborn, North Fairlane Training Center, 19000 Hubbard Drive, Room #120, Dearborn, Michigan 48126. This workshop will be presented on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at two different times to accommodate various work schedules. The first session is scheduled for 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and the second session will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Individuals who attend this interactive, dynamic session will learn various skills, behaviors and performances — “the tools” — which employees of all phases can demonstrate at their jobs that can help them accomplish goals, such as, shortening the new employee transition time; becoming a team-member faster; producing valuable solutions; increasing self-confidence; and, lowering company costs.
Employees of all stages are invited to attend, such as, persons who have been laid off or in-transition; are job-seekers, and those who are currently employed. Job-seekers can use session content to prepare themselves more successfully for their first days of employment. Information can also be used to enhance resumes and interview performance. Current employees can view this session as a “refresher” course, reinforcing preferred performances targeted by employers.
Common goals shared by all attendees are recognizing employee skills and behaviors highly desired by employers, and identifying exceptional employer traits that can help employers retain talent and stay in business.
